Wienissä, Itävallassa, toimii Austrian Audio, joka aloitti vuonna 2017 uuden sivun mikrofonien ja kuulokkeiden historiassa 22 entisen AKG-insinöörin voimin. Toimitilat sijaitsevat entisessä AKG:n tehtaassa ja insinööreillä on jo lähtövaiheessa 350 vuoden yhteinen kokemus mikrofonien ja kuulokkeiden suunnittelusta, mittaustekniikoista, langattomista järjestelmistä, softan koodaamisesta jne. Austrian Audio omaa lukuisia patentteja ja teknologioita mittaustyökaluista kapseleihin ja noise canceling -tekniikoihin ja heidän asiantuntemustaan ovat käyttäneet niin kilpailevat audiolaitemerkit kuin ilmailu- ja telekommunikaatioteknologiavalmistajat.

Our Story

Following the closure of the AKG offices in Vienna, we set out to create something new, challenging, and respectful to our heritage. Opening our doors in July 2017, Austrian Audio was born. Armed with a wealth of experience and a mission to make passion heard, our team of experts were ready to take on the industry giants by striving to produce products that embody the sound and engineering excellence one would expect from a company with our history. We started with a core team of 22 former AKG personnel from management, acoustics, electronics, test and measurement, mechanical design, RF/wireless, and software and firmware – and are continuing to grow. We may be relatively new, but the skill, knowledge, and tradition lives on at Austrian Audio, backed by over 350 years of cumulative engineering experience. And we’re not only focused on heritage: keep an eye on where our journey is taking technology, audio, and us.

At the heart of Vienna is a deep tradition of love for music, which is why at the heart of our revolutionary OC818 and OC18 microphones you’ll find an equally passionate commitment to sound and engineering excellence. Nestled within each large diaphragm condenser (LDC) microphone is a carefully handcrafted Austrian Audio CKR12 ceramic capsule, designed and constructed by our team of experts, right here in Vienna. Making your passion heard is what drives us to create the most exquisitely engineered products available today. Whether you’re a musician, singer, engineer, producer, or performer, we’ll equip you with the best-sounding classic tools on the market.

Austrian Audio is also responsible for patents and proprietary technologies in audio, acoustics, transducers, noise canceling, and measurement tools, as well as specialised technologies in the aviation and telecom industries. Our innovative products and processes are used throughout the world across many vertical markets.

Our expertise doesn’t end there. We also work with select industry leaders on feasibility studies, technology, and full product- development. We offer testing, qualification, screening, certification, ODM and other development services within our core competencies of acoustics, mechanical engineering, electronics, DSP, software, and test and measurement. And we’re not only focused on heritage: Keep an eye on where our journey is taking technology, audio, and us.
