Russound's C-Series Multizone kit provides a powerful, scalable and intuitive means to control and enhance your
multiroom audio experience. The KT1-C5 kit includes a MCA-C5 Multizone Controller Amplifier, six MDK-C5 Multiline
Display Keypads and a SRC-C5 System Remote Control. The system offers control of eight sources and zones, advanced
features, and digital amplification.


The MCA-C5 provides eight zones of distributed stereo audio from any of eight sources. The source loop outputs and the
addition of up to five additional controllers allow for scalability to 48 zones.


A variety of input options have been engineered into the
MCA-C5 controller. A built-in internal AM/FM tuner with RDS
(Radio Data System) support can be configured as source one.
An RNET® link using CAT-5e allows for metadata transmission
and control of Russound RNET Smart Source components,
including the SMS3 Smart Media Server, iBridge® Dock and
Bay, and ST2 Tuners with AM/FM and/or satellite radio.


Featuring digital amplification, the MCA-C5 provides 40 watts
of power per channel to zones one through six. All zones are
equipped with fixed or variable line-level outputs for outboard
amplification or subzone use.


The MCA-C5 has a front USB port for programming ease and a
rear RS-232 port for integration with home automation systems.


Custom audio settings, Party Mode, Do Not Disturb, source
and zone linking, and All On/Off participation are standard
features. Incorporated in the MCA-C5 is a system clock with
an alarm and sleep timer, Home Theater triggers, routed
and common IR outputs, and eight 12VDC trigger outputs.
Source eight can serve as a paging input and loop output for
connection to a third party paging or phone system.

Control of the MCA-C5 is handled via the SRC-C5 System
Remote Control or the MDK-C5 Multiline Display Keypad.
The SRC-C5 provides simplified programming and control
via intelligent IR learning capabilities. The MDK-C5 is a wallmounted,
standard fit, double-gang keypad for the MCA-C5
Multizone Controller Amplifier. The keypad's gray scale
LCD screen displays real-time information including playlist,
channel, artist, song title, genre and more. Responsive hard
buttons offer access to virtually every system feature and
source control function. The buttons and screen brightness are
adjustable and can be dimmed at the owner’s discretion. For
additional control, up to two UNO-TS2 touchscreens can also
be connected to each controller. Additional UNO-TS2s may be
connected but require a keypad splitter (SA-ZX3).
The system programming is accomplished with your PC and
SCS-C5 configuration software, a free download from the Doc
